Randall Munson Designated Certified Speaking Professional

(Washington D.C. – July 29, 2000) Randall Munson has earned the National Speakers Association's Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation. He will be honored with the association's highest earned designation during a ceremony at the 2000 NSA Convention, August 5-8, in Washington, DC.

Established in 1980, the CSP designation serves as international measure of professional platform skill and proven speaking experience. To qualify, candidates must meet a combination of educational, professional and performance standards. Currently, less than eight percent of all professional speakers worldwide have earned this prestigious designation.

"The CSP is the highest earned designation in the speaking profession," says 1999-2000 NSA President Dave Gorden, CSP, CPAE. "It recognizes a commitment to proven experience, ongoing education, and ethical behavior."

NSA requires that candidates for designation serve at least 100 different clients, give a minimum of 250 presentations, and earn at least $250,000 in speaking fees, all within a five-year period. In addition, they must also earn at least 32 educational credits, which are given by attending NSA workshops, conventions and single-focus labs.

Randall Munson is a rare combination of business executive, professional magician, and insightful teacher who has addressed organizations and Fortune 500 companies across six continents. His clients include IBM, Disney, Minnesota Vikings, Bank of China, Prudential Insurance, New Zealand Telecom, GTE, and The White House. He is an expert who speaks about technology, creativity, humor, and change. He is founder and president of Creatively Speaking®.

"Earning the CSP takes commitment and dedication. It is valuable because it is recognized by meeting planners around the world as an assurance that the speaker has a proven track record of competence and professional excellence," says Munson.

Munson's previous honors include induction into the Speaker Excellence Hall of Fame and twelve Gold Medals in the International Speaker Olympics. Munson is the co-author of the book Breakout-Creativity, Bringing Creativity to the Workplace. His work has been featured in magazines including "Minnesota Meetings & Events" and the American Airlines in-flight magazine "American Way".
